MSc. Sustainability Management from Columbia University. Specialize in NBS carbon project development, ESG strategy, Carbon Offset trading, social development, social focus land-use planning and the management of natural resources. Experience on forestry carbon projects and payments for ecosystem services in international carbon markets and projects under different standards such as VCS, CCBS and Gold Standard. His work has allowed Juan to be involved in the implementation and development stakeholder consultation for several carbon projects as well as the analysis of the agents and causes of deforestation. In addition Juan has coordinated REDD+ and AFOLU (Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use) projects assessment, carbon methodologies, and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) mechanisms.
